Hotel Cosmos

Mexicali is one of the most colorful cities in the world. Situated right next to America – definitely attached to Calexico, at least – Mexicali is a prime example of a thriving mixed-culture community. Apart from being the most bilingual territory of Mexico, Mexicali is also home to a myriad of races who have found the city-municipality far more comfortable than places like California. It is this very collision and integration of cultural influences that makes Mexicali an exciting place – and it has become quite a place to visit and engage business in. Because of this, many hotels have sprung up to accommodate travelers who have come to check the place out. These hotels include the Hotel Cosmos chain.

There are two Hotel Cosmos establishments in Mexicali, the first being Hotel Cosmos Posada and the second being Hotel Cosmos Don Carlos. Hotel Cosmos Posada is located in 4257 Benito Juarez Boulevard Mexicali, Baja California Mexico. The boulevard on which this branch of the Hotel Cosmos stands is one of the main roads of Mexicali – it leads to two rather interesting areas in the city-municipality, the first of which is the golf course, and the second the expanse of area lined with industrial parks. The Hotel Cosmos Posada itself is considered one of the many hotels standing in the general area of the hotel hub of Mexicali, which gives guests convenient (if not comfortable) access to places like shopping malls, the train station and the bus station, and, most importantly, the Calafia Plaza where a good number of shops and restaurants flourish along with the presence of the popular bullfighting arena.

The other Hotel Cosmos, the Hotel Cosmos Don Carlos, stands in the address 1493 Justo Sierra Street Mexicali, Baja California Mexico. This particular branch of the Hotel Cosmos franchise is closer to the heart of the hotel hub of Mexicali, as it stands on one of the main avenues through which travelers from America pass to get through the city-municipality – the hotel is just several minutes away from the Mexico-American border, not to mention an international airport. Apart from the aforementioned perks of being in the general vicinity of Mexicali's hotel hub (i.e. the proximity to the Calafia Plaza, at least two shopping malls and public transport stations), the Hotel Cosmos Don Carlos also has the advantage of being just a few minutes away from attractions like the baseball stadium, the museum and the library, not to mention the Centro Cultural or Cultural Center, where the Teatro del Stado (The State Theater) and the Centro Interactivo Sol del Niño (Sol del Niño/Son of the Sun Interactive Center) could be found. A little more exploring could take the more adventurous guests of the Hotel Cosmos Don Carlos to a few rather interesting industrial parks closer to the north.

Both branches of the Hotel Cosmos are ranked as three-star hotels. The Hotel Cosmos Posada has, at the last count, thirty-five rooms for accommodation while the Hotel Cosmos Don Carlos had forty-eight rooms when last counted. Rates are subject to change, and travel agents should be consulted with regards to likely expenses.
