Hotel Imperial

The city-municipality of Mexicali stands right next to the Mexico-American border, not too far away from the international borders. It is quite possibly the most rich in culture among all the territories in Mexico, in that it is a rather conveniently modern mix of American and Mexican influence. Furthermore, many of the citizens of Mexicali come from all over the globe (in fact, Mexicali has Mexico's largest China town). Integrating the norms of the varying cultures that thrive in its streets, Mexicali has truly become a melting pot whose liveliness attracts people – whether it is for business or for pleasure. It is because of this that many hotels, such as the Hotel Imperial, have sprung up to accommodate this influx of people.

The Hotel Imperial is located in 222 Madera Avenue in the Central Zone of Mexicali, Baja California Mexico. Because Madera Avenue is practically next to the Mexico-American Border and is connected to both the Calzada Justo Sierra and the Lopez Mateos Boulevard (two of Mexicali's main avenues, the first even being virtually connected to Calexico in the United States), the Hotel Imperial is essentially one of the most conveniently located hotels, especially for visitors who are simply driving in from America. The proximity of Hotel Imperial to two of the city-municipality's main roads also allows the guests of the hotel access to the more popular attractions and areas of Mexicali.

From the Calzada Justo Sierra, guests of the Hotel Imperial can get to Mexicali's baseball stadium, a few industrial parks, and some shopping centers. Hotel Imperial's guests could also access the Centro Civico (the Civic Center, where the main government offices stand), Centro Cultural (the Cultural Center, where the arts and culture are showcased) and Centro Historical (the Historical Center where much of the city-municipality's historical highlights are featured) via the Lopez Mateos Boulevard. In the Centro Civico, visitors staying in the Hotel Imperial can marvel at the architecture and unique socio-political makeup of Mexicali. The Centro Cultural, in the meantime, plays home to the Centro Interactivo Sol del Niño (Sol del Niño/Son of the Sun Interactive Center) and the Teatro del Estado (the State Theater). The Centro Cultural also has many sights for the travelers staying in the Hotel Imperial to see, the most fascianting of which is the city Church. Apart from these areas, the Lopes Mateos Boulevard can take guests of the Hotel Imperial to the popular and modern attractions like the bowling alley, not to mention Calafia Plaza where many of the restaurants, shops and nightlife convene, topped off by the presence of the popular bullfighting arena.

The Hotel Imperial is a one-star hotel; the number of rooms for accommodation in the hotel cannot be listed. Each room is equipped with heating, airconditioning and a color television. Other amenities include convenient parking and an in-house restaurant with decent food.

The rates of accommodation in the Hotel Imperial tend to vary; it would be best to consult a travel agent or call the hotel in 011-52 (686) 563-6333 for clearer understanding of the details and arrangements.
