As the one of the Mexican cities closest to America – it sits right next to America's Calexico, separated only by the Mexico-American border – the capital of Baja California that is Mexicali has earned a reputation as the closest city to an American city found in a whole other country. Calazada Anahuac also leads people staying at the Motel Minols to the Calafia Plaza, the general area of which is known as the home of Mexicali's famous bullfighting arena and a number of shops, restaurants, bars, and clubs.
