The Alamo Hostel at Rosarito Mexico, does not have any illusions of grandeur. It does not pretend to be a five-star hotel, it is merely there for the convenience of tourists.
Upon initial inspection, the Alamo Hostel seems like a shabby place. It looks rundown enough for such an assessment. Tourists, who go ahead and give the place a chance are pleasantly surprised. It is not, after all, as rundown as it looks. In fact, the facilities are clean enough and are working properly.
The rooms at the Alamo Hostel are typical of a hostel, with around 4 to 6 people on bunkbeds. There is a common bathroom that is surprisingly clean. The rooms are large enough to sleep in, with some space to place your things and a little more space to move around in. Of course, since the hostel is primarily there just as a place to park your things, or sleep in, the place is actually more than sufficient.
In each room, there are even stoves and sinks where the guests can cook. In keeping with the budget-friendly environment, these makeshift kitchens allow the tourists to cook their own meals when the fare at restaurants becomes too pricey for their budget.
The hostel even has a small pool and a small workout area where the guests can work on their fitness, or just hang out in.
What makes Alamo Hostel so popular, especially among the youth, is its budget-friendly accommodations. Add to that its proximity to the popular hotspots in Rosarito. Located in Calle de Alamo 15, it is about two blocks from the main road, and three blocks from the beach. It is an easy walking distance from Rosarito's restaurants and nightclubs.
The Alamo Hostel itself is not lacking in activities. It is common for the guests to meet up for bonfires and movie nights within the hostel premises. Indeed, among the hostels in Mexico, the Alamo Hostel is one of the best there is.
The Alamo Hostel is usually crowded during weekends when students get out for some sun in Mexico, and is usually deserted during the weekdays and the off-season.
